The curriculum for this seminar consists of a 16 hour intensive workshop (in 8 sessions) covering all the finance essentials you must have to approach your banker successfully, and then to pay off your operating loans in a timely manner. This knowledge is fundamental for any business owner or budding entrepreneur.

Session Topics: (covered in a pace you are comfortable with)
  • Session 1 - The 7 steps to fiscal fitness. Begin to learn the language of finance. Look at your business in a new way.
  • Session 2 - Evaluate Financial Performance using Ratios. What's the current state of your financial statements?
  • Session 3 - Complete a ratio scorecard and develope your road map. How many ways can you measure productivity?
  • Session 4 - Understanding Break-Even Analysis; the impacts of Price-Volume-Costs, and your Income Statement as a Management Tool.
  • Session 5 - Create a projected income statement and related cash budget. Understanding why profits don't necessarily correlate with cash.
  • Session 6 - Understanding how management efficiencies can have a positive impact on the financial future of your business.
  • Session 7 - Understanding why growth costs money and forecasting what you'll need to grow. How better management can free up cash.
  • Session 8 - Understanding what banks look for in a good borrowing relationship. Find the resources you need for your capital funding.


A 275-page participant notebook containing course content, case studies, worksheets, templates, articles, and resources is provided for each participant. A Pre-Payment 8-Session with Workbook Package is $995. Extended payment plans are available. It is recommended that you attend the sessions in sequence to build on each case study.
